The Dubai Airshow is the biggest aviation event in the Middle East, connecting aviation professionals across all areas of the industry to facilitate successful global trade.
The air show attracts more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, with more than 60,000 trade visitors.
WFP first participation at Dubai Airshow started in 2007 under the generous support of the air show exhibitor F&E of donating the space and requirements, and support from various supporters to build the structure and other essential necessities for such participation

At Dubai Airshow 2015, and on the opening day of the Air Show, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, visited the humanitarian pavilion at the Dubai Air Show which was headed by WFP. Capt. Samir Sajet, the Regional Aviation Safety Officer spoke to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed to advocate for WFP’s critical interests in the region and to thank him for his continuous support to WFP and the humanitarian community in general. Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan - United Arab Emirates’ minister of interior visited the humanitarian pavilion and was briefly glanced about the efforts done for the ultimate goal of zero hunger, His Excellence Mr. Saif Al Suwaidi the Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority also visited the pavilion, where he was thanked for all the support received from the esteemed authority.
